The Big Bang versus the Big Peaches. In the theory of Evolution you will accept a tiny organism crawled out of the water where it had spontaneously come to life and that when it got to dry land there was food waiting for it on the table. You will accept that a violent explosion created powerful stars that burn for millions of years and that it created a chain reaction that caused intelligent life to emerge. This life started as tiny organisms that could feed themselves and reproduce themselves - like throwing burning sticks against a wall will cause new stars to form. Or throwing dirt up in the air long enough will cause a cat to appear. Life on earth requires all species to adapt to their environment in order to survive. The species adapt to their food source. Pandas are the only "bears" that eat bamboo because in China that is their food source. But adaptation is not evolution. Tiny cells do multiply to reproduce, but all life has to have a suitable food source. When the first organism sprang to life it had to have food. And when it walked out of the water on to dry land the credibility gap widens when you have to accept that an equivalent food source had developed for it by chance. In the lowly peach seed you have proof of a great and mighty God who provided food for all the creatures He created. Not only do peaches provide food for many species of life, but the seed in the peach reproduces itself, not just as a seed, but as a tree. It reproduces itself into eternity through more peaches and seeds. The seed falls to the ground and dies, and then springs forth into a new life. A tree will feed many and produce many more seeds. God shared His promises with us. He reveals His power in the peach seed - that in letting go - in planting for the future, you will find your life, your purpose, your faith and you will find Him.
